We are in need of an Assistant Teacher! Each day you will work alongside our unique team of educators to foster children's sense of self through creatively planned lessons, adventures inside and outside of the classroom, and forming relationships with their peers.
Your Role
Assist Lead Teachers in instructing developmentally appropriate group or one-on-one activities
Execute weekly lesson plans
Create a fun and safe classroom environment
Help children improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
Observe and communicate children's developmental progress to lead teacher
Collaborate with lead teacher and other educators
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Be patient and kind to children
Other duties as assigned
Your Skills/Qualifications
Must be 18+ years old
1+ years of previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
High School Diploma or GED
CDA Certified or Associates/Bachelors in Early Childhood Education or related fields
Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to act as mediator between children
Positive and patient demeanor
Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
